Graduate Admission
If you would like to join the group you may apply for the PhD
program in Computational Sciences (with Physics track) through
the international/domestic admission portal of the Graduate
School.
Please be aware that since the number of graduate teaching
assistantships (GTA) is very few and can vary from year
to year, GTAs are offered only to a few eligible applicants
according to their rank in the merit list and the availability
of slots. An offer of admission from the graduate school
(in Physics track) does not necessarily guarantee a GTA
in Physics. You will be notified separately in due course
if your GTA application is successful.
Postdoctoral fellows are normally supported by external
grants. These positions are advertised nationally from time
to time depending on the availability of funds.
Note: As of 2026, the USM no longer offers MS (Physics) program in person. The online MS (Physics) program is currently under administrative review and the graduate school is not accepting applications for the online MS (Physics) program at this time.
